Software usually tries to prove that it is alive by moving more, glowing more, notifying more, and asking for more. Stillness is harder. It requires restraint.
For GreatestOfLove, stillness means giving the user enough beauty to feel cared for, but not so much motion that the interface becomes another distraction.
Less decoration, more presence
The design language leans on warm paper surfaces, careful spacing, quiet borders, readable typography, and gentle imagery. The interface should feel intentional without feeling loud.
- Use fewer visual effects, but make each one count.
- Let typography carry more of the emotion.
- Keep layouts calm enough for Scripture to remain central.
