One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.1 the delight
Reflection
Psalm 27:4 reminds us that the deepest longing of the heart is not for answers, success, or even relief from trouble, but for closeness with God. To “dwell,” “gaze,” and “seek” describe a relationship rooted in presence, love, and attention. The verse invites us to make God our true home and our greatest desire, trusting that in His presence we find peace no matter our circumstances.
